The automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation due to the need to reduce its ecological footprint.
The GreenAuto Agenda Consortium was set up to position the national automotive industry in the production of low-emission light commercial vehicles. This consortium is led by Peugeot Citroën Automóveis Portugal, SA (Stellantis Mangualde) and comprises 37 organisations, including the Polytechnic University of Coimbra.
The Mobilising Agenda for Business Innovation GreenAuto: Green Innovation for the Automotive Industry’, co-financed by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to position the national automotive industry in the value chain of low-emission vehicles.
To achieve this goal, 18 innovative, digital and sustainable products and processes (PPS) associated with the ‘Green Vehicle’ and ‘Green Factory’ will be developed through 10 WorkPackages (WP).
The Polytechnic University of Coimbra, through ISEC - Coimbra Institute of Engineering, is actively participating in WP10 - Automated Logistics for the Automotive Industry, in the development of PPS17 - AGV Fleet Supervision System, together with the company EUROPNEUMAQ, which leads the PPS.
